JAMMU, FEBRUARY 27 (KNO) : Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today convened a meeting regarding publication of Research Journal of Music.
Among others the meeting was attended by faculty from various colleges and universities besides the concerned officers. The meeting had detailed deliberation on several issues towards research and promotion of Music subject among the students and serving faculty in the department.
It was decided in the meeting that a quarterly Research Journal would be published. Besides, issues like appointment of Assistant Professors, allocation of posts, introduction of Music in different GDCs of the State, promotion of traditional music in J&K and establishment of Music studio/ procurement of quality music instruments for practical classes were also highlighted in the meeting.(KNO)
